After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Gonzaga, Bishop O'Connell was happy to have turned things around on Sunday. They put the hurt on the Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons with a sharp 70-47 victory. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Shane Lincoln was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds. That's the most boards he has posted since back in November of 2024. Darius Bivins was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to three steals and three blocks.

Bishop O'Connell smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Bishop O'Connell's win bumped their record up to 20-8. As for Our Lady of Good Counsel, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-14.

Looking ahead, Bishop O'Connell will venture away from home to take on Archbishop Carroll at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Our Lady of Good Counsel, they will host St. John's at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
