Recap: Holmes Huskies vs. Brennan Bears
Holmes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 8-2 walloping at the hands of the Brennan Bears. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Holmes of the 6-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.
Holmes saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jadein Alderete, who went 1-for-2 with an RBI.
Holmes' loss dropped their record down to 4-12-3. As for Brennan, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holmes will square off against O'Connor at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Holmes is facing O'Connor at the right time seeing as O'Connor is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Brennan, they will head out on the road to challenge Jay at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jay is coming into the game with four straight victories at home, so Brennan will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
