Recap: Del Sol Dragons vs. Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon Pirate
There's no place like home for the Del Sol Dragons, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They strolled past Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 78-60. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Del Sol to victory, but perhaps none more so than Todd Fox, who scored 26 points along with nine rebounds and seven steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fox has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kasire Johnson, who scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Despite the loss, Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon still got an impressive performance from Bradie Xaysana, who scored 24 points. Xaysana hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Damon Ameperosa, who scored 14 points.
Del Sol's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Del Sol will face off against Shadow Ridge at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon, they will head out on the road to square off against Boulder City at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Boulder City has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 264 points over their last four contests.
