On Friday, in a tight matchup that could have gone either way, the Cordova Lancers made off with a 15-14 win over the Mesa Verde Mavericks.
Cordova found their leader in underclassman Trey Wallace, who threw for 216 yards and a touchdown on only 19 passes, and also rushed for 50 yards and a touchdown.
