Nation's top running back recruit Zamir White commits to Georgia

The nation's top-rated running back has finally made his long-awaited decision.

Zamir White of Scotland (Laurinburg, N.C.) committed to Georgia on Tuesday afternoon during a ceremony at his  school.

247Sports has White tabbed as the No. 6 overall prospect in the Class of 2018. The Bulldogs won out over Alabama, Clemson, North Carolina and Ohio State.

Georgia head coach Kirby Smart might be getting the best overall player in high school football. White has power, speed and elusiveness.



White rushed for 1,693 yards and 26 touchdowns last season in leading the Fighting Scots to a 14-1 record and the North Carolina Class 4A state semifinals. White has piled up more than 5,000 yards rushing and 85 scores in his career.
