Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Halifax Academy). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders 55-23. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Vikings had established a 25 point advantage.

Halifax Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hayden Barlow, who went 9 of 12 en route to 20 points and four steals. Barlow is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Payton Odom, who almost dropped a triple-double on 12 points, nine boards, and nine steals.

Halifax Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

The win got Halifax Academy back to even at 7-7. As for Harrells Christian Academy, their defeat was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-13.

When Halifax Academy and Harrells Christian Academy next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Halifax Academy will square off against Faith Christian and their three-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Harrells Christian Academy will try to stop Rocky Mount Academy's 13-game winning streak when the meet at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
