Softball Recap: Cedar Creek Takes a Loss

Cedar Creek lost against Crockett back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Cedar Creek came up short against Crockett, falling 24-1. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Cedar Creek saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was A Mata, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1. Mata has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played.

Cedar Creek's record now sits at 1-18. As for Crockett, they pushed their record up to 7-7-1 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Cedar Creek will host Bastrop at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bastrop will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Cedar Creek surely won't give up without a fight. As for Crockett, they will head out on the road to take on Anderson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Crockett's pitchers better be ready for this one: Anderson has averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season.
