Mattanawcook extended their winning streak to 11 games thanks to a huge performance from Kooper McCarthy. Everything went the Mattanawcook Lynx's way against the Dexter Tigers on Wednesday as the Mattanawcook Lynx made off with a 68-43 victory thanks in part to McCarthy, who posted 15 points in addition to seven steals and six rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played.

Despite the loss, Dexter had strong showings from Isiah Robinson, who went 10 for 12 en route to 25 points and five boards, and Bryce Cooper, who went 7 of 16 on his way to 14 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Robinson a new career-high in points.

Mattanawcook pushed their record up to 11-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.0 points per game. As for Dexter, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.

Mattanawcook and Dexter should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Maine Rankings. Mattanawcook (ranked fifth) will meet George Stevens Academy (ranked 67th) at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Mattanawcook is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 75.8 points per game this season. Similarly, Dexter will challenge Penquis Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Friday up 55 places (30 vs. 85).
