Volleyball Recap: Capital Prep Comes Up Short

Capital Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Norwich RVT Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trailblazers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-12, 25-13.

Norwich RVT had a senior duo take command as Landon O'Brien had seven digs and seven aces and Jason Childs had eight aces and four digs. Those eight aces set a new season-high mark for Childs.

Capital Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Norwich RVT, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Capital Prep will square off against Woodstock Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Norwich RVT, they will take on Academy of Science and Innovation at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
