Recap: Clover Hill Cavaliers vs. Midlothian Trojans
The Clover Hill Cavaliers lost against the Midlothian Trojans back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Clover Hill was beaten by Midlothian 63-33. Clover Hill has not had much luck with Midlothian recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Clover Hill's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Prisha Gupta, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nia Evans, who scored 2 points along with 9 rebounds.
Clover Hill's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Midlothian, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Clover Hill will head out on the road to face off against Huguenot at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Huguenot has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Midlothian, they will be playing at home against Cosby at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Virginia (Cosby is ranked 69th, while Midlothian is ranked 91st).
