Somerset Academy Key has no trouble against Sports Leadership & Management

The Somerset Academy Key Lions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They took down Sports Leadership & Management 79-64. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Sports Leadership & Management's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kenith Bailey, who scored 18 points along with four steals. That's the first time this season that Bailey scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Dennis Pierre, who scored 17 points along with five assists and three steals.

The win (which was Somerset Academy Key's third in a row) raised their record to 7-11. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.7 points per game. As for Sports Leadership & Management, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-7.

Somerset Academy Key will take on King's Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. King's Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,333 points over their last 18 games. As for Sports Leadership & Management, they will head out on the road to take on Highlands Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
