Basketball Game Preview: Plainfield Panthers vs. St. Bernard Saints

The Plainfield Panthers will take on the St. Bernard Saints at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Bernard took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Plainfield, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Plainfield took their game with ease, bagging a 71-34 victory over Griswold. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, St. Bernard unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 46-35 to Old Saybrook.

The win made it two in a row for Plainfield and bumps their season record up to 14-2. As for St. Bernard, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.

Plainfield didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against St. Bernard when the teams last played two weeks ago, but they still walked away with a 56-52 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
