Volleyball Recap: Haverling Falls to Avoca Central in First Game of Season

Haverling unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 3-1 to the Avoca Central Tigers on Thursday. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Haverling will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Livonia at 6:30 p.m. on September 9. As for Avoca Central, they are taking a road trip to square off against Campbell-Savona at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The contest will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
