There's no place like home for Brookfield, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Crestview Rebels 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Rebels last Monday, they had to take a 10-5 defeat.

Brandon Hardman made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hardman was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-1.

In other batting news, Devan Reardon was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

The victory got Brookfield back to even at 1-1. As for Crestview, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brookfield will head out to take on Jackson-Milton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Crestview, they will venture away from home to square off against John F. Kennedy Catholic at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
