Baseball Recap: Manteno Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Manteno can now relate to. They fell 5-1 to the Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish on Thursday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Fightin' Irish apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Manteno saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Norred, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

The defeat snapped Manteno's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 21-8 record. As for Bishop McNamara, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-7 record this season.
