Cabrillo is 9-1 against Orcutt Academy since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Conquistadores will be playing in front of their home fans against the Spartans at 10:00 a.m.

Cabrillo lost 12-4 to St. Joseph on Friday. The Conquistadores have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Orcutt Academy hadn't done well against Pioneer Valley recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Spartans skirted past the Panthers 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Spartans have posted since May 17, 2024.

Orcutt Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Cabrillo, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.

Cabrillo came out on top in a nail-biter against Orcutt Academy when the teams last played back in May of 2023, sneaking past 2-1. Do the Conquistadores have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Spartans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
