Soccer Game Preview: Coffee vs. Northside + Official Tickets

The Coffee Trojans are taking a road trip to take on the Northside Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Coffee's offense. They fell 2-0 to Lee County on Tuesday. Coffee hasn't had much luck with Lee County recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, Northside fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Veterans on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They came up short against the Warhawks, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Northside can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 276th, while Veterans are ranked 44th).

Northside's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Coffee, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Coffee got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in February against Northside by a conclusive 8-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
