Recap: Chopticon Braves vs. Calvert Cavaliers
The Chopticon Braves won the last time they faced the Calvert Cavaliers, and things went their way on Friday too. Chopticon claimed a resounding 66-33 win over Calvert on the road. That 33 point margin sets a new team best for Chopticon this season.
Chopticon's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bryson Fenwick, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brian McMahon, who scored 14 points along with four steals.
Chopticon is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Calvert, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chopticon will face off against La Plata at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. La Plata is coming into the contest with seven straight defeats at home, meaning Chopticon will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. As for Calvert, they will head out on the road to face off against Leonardtown at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
