After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Texas Christian, the Shady Acres Christian Mavericks were happy to have found some success on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 39-20 win over The Connection School of Houston. That's another feather in the cap for Shady Acres Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Several Bears players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brennen Citizen, who scored 9 points.
Shady Acres Christian's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for The Connection School of Houston, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games.
