Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Central Cabarrus). They took down the Berry Cardinals 34-15  on Friday. The  victory was some much needed relief for the Vikings as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Central Cabarrus' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Damonte James, who rushed for 112 yards and two  touchdowns on only 13 carries. James has become a key player for the Vikings: the team is 3-1 when he posts  at  least  two  rushing touchdowns, but 0-4 otherwise.  La'Qui Mitchell-Moore also deserves some recognition as  he  rushed for his first  rushing yard of the season.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Central Cabarrus was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 372  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've managed all season.
 Although Berry took the loss, they still got scores from  Nizione McGee and  Romeo Abreu.
Central Cabarrus' record now sits at 3-5. As for Berry,  they are  on  a  ten-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.
