Basketball Recap: White Bear Lake Takes a Loss

White Bear Lake was the 56-45 winner over Cretin-Derham Hall when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The White Bear Lake Bears fell just short of the Cretin-Derham Hall Raiders by a score of 74-71 on Tuesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (56), the Bears still had to take the loss.

White Bear Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 23-12. As for Cretin-Derham Hall, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. White Bear Lake will host Stillwater at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Stillwater will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something White Bear Lake surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cretin-Derham Hall, they will be playing at home against Mounds View at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cretin-Derham Hall is facing Mounds View at the right time seeing as Mounds View is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
