Churchill won the last time they faced Springfield and things went their way on Friday too. The Lancers enjoyed a cozy 30-12 victory over the Millers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lancers.

Although Springfield took the loss, they still got scores from Amar'E Viquelia and Adam Hernandez.

Churchill's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Springfield, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Churchill will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Crater at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. As for Springfield, they will face off against North Eugene at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
