Baseball Game Preview: Brushton-Moira Panthers vs. Parishville-Hopkinton Panthers

Brushton-Moira are headed away from home for the first time to take on Parishville-Hopkinton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Parishville-Hopkinton took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Brushton-Moira, who comes in off a win.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Brushton-Moira and St. Lawrence Central, and Brushton-Moira kept the tradition alive. The Panthers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Larries on Monday, sneaking past 6-4. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Larries recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Brushton-Moira's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Mason Poirier, who went 3-for-4 with one triple and one double. Zyren Clark was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Parishville-Hopkinton kicked off their season on the road last Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 12-2 to Ogdensburg Free Academy.

Brushton-Moira suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Parishville-Hopkinton in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can Brushton-Moira avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
