Baseball Recap: Randolph School Comes Up Short

It was a good run, but Randolph School unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the St. John Paul II Falcons by a score of 9-8. The Raiders were not able to make up for their defeat to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Jackson Weglage made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. He is becoming a predictor of Randolph School's success: when he posts at least three hits the team is 2-1 (and 7-10 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Keaton Schroer, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Randolph School's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-11. As for St. John Paul II, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-15.

While Randolph School had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
