Basketball Game Preview: Reidsville Rams vs. Rockingham County Cougars

Reidsville is 2-8 against Rockingham County since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Reidsville Rams will head out to challenge the Rockingham County Cougars at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Reidsville turned things around against Walkertown on Friday. They claimed a resounding 54-15 win over the Wolfpack.

Meanwhile, Rockingham County came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Wildcats with points to spare, taking the game 57-43. The Cougars pushed the score to 50-28 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wildcats cut but never quite recovered from.

Rockingham County pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Reidsville, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-6.

Reidsville took a serious blow against Rockingham County in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 74-34. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Reidsville was down 52-15.
