Baseball Recap: Murray Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Murray's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the McCracken County Mustangs on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost four in a row.

Murray's defeat dropped their record down to 13-15. As for McCracken County, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 21-8 record.

Coming up, Murray will square off against Paducah Tilghman at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Tornado will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for McCracken County, they will take on Lyon County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lyons have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
