Baseball Recap: Gray's Creek Comes Up Short

Gray's Creek was the 14-4 winner over South View when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Gray's Creek Bears took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South View Tigers on Tuesday. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gunner Sterling was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season.

Gray's Creek now has a losing record of 4-5. As for South View, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-5.

Coming up, Gray's Creek will square off against Douglas Byrd at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Gray's Creek is facing Douglas Byrd at the right time seeing as Douglas Byrd is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for South View, they are taking a road trip to face off against West Columbus at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
