Recap: Las Vegas Wildcats vs. Rancho Rams

The Las Vegas Wildcats pushed their score all the way to 66 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Rancho 70-66. Las Vegas has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tayshaun Jackson, who scored 27 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jahmarrick Davenport, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds.

It was another big night for Jakoi Lide, who scored 19 points along with four steals for Rancho. Lide has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Jailen Childress was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.

Las Vegas' defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Rancho, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 15-3.

Las Vegas will be playing in front of their home fans against Centennial at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Centennial has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 528 points over their last eight matchups. As for Rancho, they will head out on the road to challenge Desert Oasis at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Desert Oasis is on a three-game streak of home wins, Rancho a seven-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
