Baseball Recap: Corpus Christi Moody Victorious

The Corpus Christi Moody Trojans earned a 6-1 win over the Falfurrias Fightin' Jerseys on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

Landen Trevino made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. That's the fewest earned runs he has allowed since back in February. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Eragon Padron, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Neo Vega also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Corpus Christi Moody's record is now 7-9. As for Falfurrias, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8-2 record this season.
