Baseball Recap: Orangewood Christian Wins Going Away Against Legacy Charter

It's playoff time, and Orangewood Christian had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Legacy Charter Eagles 9-1 on Tuesday. Considering the Rams have won eight games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Alex Walker, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Austin Wendorf, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Orangewood Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matches.

Orangewood Christian's record is now 14-9. As for Legacy Charter, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-11.

Looking ahead, Orangewood Christian will face off against Orlando Christian Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Legacy Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
