Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Junction City walked away with it. They came out on top against The Dalles Riverhawks by a score of 8-3 on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Landon Van Hecke was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Josh Berry was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
Junction City pushed their record up to 14-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for The Dalles, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-14.
As of now, neither Junction City nor the Riverhawks have any future games scheduled.
