Softball Recap: Warren Central Comes Up Short

Warren Central extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping them down to 2-5. They came up short against the Fishers Tigers, falling 18-2. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 12-1 to the Tigers when the teams met back in March of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Warren Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amiyah Slater, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI. That RBI was Slater's first of the season.

As for Fishers, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games.

On Fishers' side, Brooke Clayton was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and one triple. Those five RBI gave Clayton a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Adrianne Cook, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.

Warren Central wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 13-1 loss against Beech Grove on the 16th. As for Fishers, they have also already played their next matchup, an 11-6 win against Pendleton Heights on the 16th.
