Baseball Recap: Kenedy Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Kenedy won against Woodsboro last Wednesday with 20 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Kenedy Lions were the clear victor by a 20-5 margin over the Pettus Eagles. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on David Salas, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Lopez, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Kenedy's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Pettus, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Looking ahead, Kenedy will head out to square off against Port Aransas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pettus, they will host Skidmore-Tynan at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th.
