Sadly, Rich Township is still looking for their first win of the season after four matches. They took a 15-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Island Eisenhower Cardinals on Thursday. Both teams can probably skip cardio this week after making that many trips around the bases.

Kasidy Whitaker and Maliyah Watson stepped up to the plate in a big way. Whitaker got on base in three of her four plate appearances with a home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Watson scored two runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamille Dupree, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

On Blue Island Eisenhower's side, Zuli Diaz was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 4-for-5. Lynette Cleavenger was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Rich Township's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Blue Island Eisenhower, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-1.

Rich Township will be playing at home against Chicago Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
