Basketball Game Preview: Liberty Bell Mountain Lions vs. Cascade Kodiaks

The Liberty Bell Mountain Lions will square off against the Cascade Kodiaks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Liberty Bell's favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Cascade has been banged up by 11 consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Last Friday, Liberty Bell didn't have too much trouble with Omak as they won 69-52. Given the Mountain Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Pioneers are ranked 213th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Cascade played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt an 83-38 loss at the hands of Moses Lake. The Kodiaks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-25.

Liberty Bell's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Cascade, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.

Everything came up roses for Liberty Bell against Cascade in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 70-29 win. Will Liberty Bell repeat their success, or does Cascade have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
