Baseball Recap: Friday's Win Is Buffalo's Third in Last Four Outings

Buffalo hadn't done well against Edina recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Bison walked away with a 4-1 win over the Hornets. This was payback for the Bison, who suffered a 10-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.

COLE LINDBERG looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024.

On the hitting side, DOLEN BRISK was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024.

Buffalo is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Edina, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buffalo will take on Monticello at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bison 3.4, the Magic 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Edina, they will challenge Minnetonka at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Skippers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Hornets surely won't give up without a fight.
