Baseball Recap: East Takes a Loss

After flying high against Leetonia on Friday, East came back down to earth. East came up short against the Lowellville Rockets on Saturday, falling 24-7.

East saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Yadiel Lopez, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

East's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Leetonia at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lowellville, they will head out to take on Mineral Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The game will give Lowellville their first taste of in-conference action this season.
