Larned has gone 8-2 against Halstead recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Indians will head out on the road to take on the Dragons at 4:00 p.m. Larned is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

While Larned's win against Hillsboro wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Indians had just enough and edged out the Trojans 4-3 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Halstead didn't have quite enough to beat Smoky Valley on Tuesday and fell 3-2.

Zach Gavlak was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

The victory got Larned back to even at 6-6. As for Halstead, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.

Larned came out on top in a nail-biter against Halstead in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 8-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
