Preview: Watertown Indians vs. Holy Cross Crusaders
Watertown is 0-6 against Holy Cross since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Watertown Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Holy Cross Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Watertown's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a rough 86-53 loss at the hands of Torrington. Watertown has not had much luck with Torrington recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Holy Cross kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 68-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of Crosby. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Watertown's loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-2. As for Holy Cross, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 0-1.
Watertown took a serious blow against Holy Cross in their previous meeting back in February, falling 102-58. Can Watertown avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
