Baseball Recap: Glenn's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Glenn can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the R.J. Reynolds Demons. This was a revenge game for the Bobcats: when they faced off against the Demons last Tuesday, they had to take a 5-3 loss.

Logan Stump made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits (and not a single walk). He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Glenn is 3-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 3-5 otherwise. Stump was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since March 4th.

In other batting news, Easton Anderson was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Winters, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

The win got Glenn back to even at 6-6. As for R.J. Reynolds, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Glenn is set to challenge their familiar foe West Forsyth at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, R.J. Reynolds will face off against rival Parkland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
