Soccer Game Preview: Polk County vs. Hendersonville + How To Watch

The Polk County Wolverines will head out on the road to face off against the Hendersonville Bearcats at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Polk County will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

Hendersonville better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Polk County's game on Wednesday is any indication, that's when Polk County really gets things going. The Wolverines put the hurt on Avery County with a sharp 4-0 victory. Considering Polk County have won six contests by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Avery County with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Mason Hudson (2), Cooper Meyer, and Thomas Varnadore.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Hendersonville took on Mountain Heritage on Wednesday. The Bearcats came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cougars, sneaking past 2-1. The win continues a trend for Hendersonville in their matchups with Mountain Heritage: they've now won five in a row.

Polk County's record now sits at 9-0-2. As for Hendersonville, their record is now 5-6-1.

Polk County beat Hendersonville by a goal in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, winning 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
