Volleyball Recap: Aberdeen Christian Comes Up Short

Aberdeen Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Roncalli Cavaliers. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cavaliers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Aberdeen Christian started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 19-25, 21-25, 25-20, 25-16, 15-9.

Aberdeen Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Roncalli, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Aberdeen Christian will face off against Waubay/Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Roncalli, they will challenge Sisseton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
