Volleyball Recap: Superior Gets the Win

Superior won the last time they faced Hibbing and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Spartans came out on top against the Bluejackets by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-6, 23-25, 25-17.

Anna Matthias had an outrageously good game as she had seven digs and six aces. Those six aces gave her a new career-high. Brekyn Warburton also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Superior was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive matchups.

Superior's win bumped their record up to 9-12. As for Hibbing, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Superior will take on Proctor at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hibbing, they will square off against Marshall at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
