Baseball Recap: Emmaus' Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

Emmaus had lost six straight, but after bumping their record up to 7-10 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They never let the Louis E. Dieruff Huskies get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. The Hornets' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last six games.

Robert Barnes looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Emmaus is 4-2 when he allows at most one walk, but 3-8 otherwise.

At the plate, Zach Ehritz was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Josh Diaz, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Emmaus always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

As for Louis E. Dieruff, they dropped their record down to 1-15 with the loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

On Louis E. Dieruff's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was AJ Sebesta, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.
