Northwest Christian School put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Newport Grizzlies 75-19. Given the Crusaders' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Grizzlies are ranked 203rd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northwest Christian School's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kaitlyn Waters led the charge by going 6-for-14 en route to 15 points in addition to six assists and five steals. Waters has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Julianna Pope, who shot 67% from the field to rack up 13 points and six steals.

Northwest Christian School's record is now 6-0. As for Newport, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northwest Christian School will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Cheney at 1:30 p.m. on the 27th. As for Newport, they will head out to face off against Chewelah at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Grizzlies will be up against the Cougars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 55.8 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
