Recap: Searcy vs. Jonesboro
If the Searcy Lions were expecting to get some payback for the 79-41 defeat against the Jonesboro Hurricane when they previously met last month, then they were left disappointed. Searcy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap this past Friday as they fell 76-71 to Jonesboro. The Lions' loss continues a disappointing trend for the team, making it four in a row.
The loss dropped the Lions' record to 10-14. Jonesboro's victory brought them up to 15-9.
The Lions will square off against Mountain Home on Tuesday. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close matchup. As for Jonesboro, they will face off against Nettleton on Tuesday. Nettleton took a loss in their last game and are no doubt out to reverse Jonesboro's good fortune.
