Football Game Preview: London Pirates vs. Goliad Tigers + How To Watch

The London Pirates will head out to square off against the Goliad Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. London knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Goliad likes a good challenge.

On Friday, London didn't have too much trouble with Mathis as they won 34-15. The win continues a trend for London in their matchups with Mathis: they've now won four in a row.

Alex Manning produced another solid effort throwing for 237 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 51 yards and one score. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last three times he's played. London's leading receiver Zach Tyrone was Manning's top target yet again, picking up 123 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Meanwhile, Goliad strolled past Palacios with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 31-14. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Tigers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 446th, while the Sharks are ranked 898th).

London now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Goliad, their record now sits at 4-1.

London suffered a grim 40-14 defeat to Goliad in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Pirates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
