Basketball Recap: Curtis Snaps 16-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

After losing to Boys & Girls the last time they met, Curtis decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Curtis Warriors strolled past the Boys & Girls Kangaroos with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 64-48. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while the Kangaroos are ranked 452nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Curtis' win ended a 16-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-5. As for Boys & Girls, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Curtis didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 72-58 victory against Erasmus Hall on the 14th. Boys & Girls has also already played their next game, a 58-51 defeat against South Shore on the 14th.
