Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Newark). They were the clear victor by a 71-49 margin over the Teays Valley Vikings on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Newark's victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Teays Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.

Newark and Teays Valley could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Newark (ranked 26th) will meet Reynoldsburg (ranked third) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Teays Valley will face off against Pickerington Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 226 places (450 vs. 224).
