Softball Recap: Ridgewood Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

It's playoff time, and Ridgewood had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Shadyside Tigers by a score of 5-0 on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Generals as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

The result came thanks to Addison Lahmers's shutout, as she gave up just two hits and racked up 14 Ks.

On the hitting side, Ridgewood let Kaydence Lahna and Anna Troyer run wild. Lahna went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI, while Troyer went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those two doubles gave Lahna a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Pru Fechuch, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run.

Ridgewood's win bumped their record up to 13-9-1. As for Shadyside, they dropped their record down to 13-13 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Ridgewood will venture away from home to square off against Crooksville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Shadyside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
